JDAI is a Java based infrastructure for digital
photo albums. Multiple applications share a
common back-end, and can be used in different
scenarios. An explorer application for local
access and administration is already available,
and functionality is being developed for online albums using a Java Web server (such as Apache Tomcat).

The "Growing Up" release of JDAI Explorer is meant to signify that this application is maturing into the beta stages. With the current release, a lot of small changes have been made to ensure a smooth user experience (among other things, keybindings have been added for all operations, and drag/drop is improved). A new photo viewer with slideshow functionality is included. This viewer also has fullscreen capability.
