Xclasses is a C layout library for the X Window System. All objects (called gadgets) are font sensitive, i.e. their size changes with the size of the used screen font and the size of the window. All this is done by Xclasses itself. The user may choose any kind of font style and size.

GNU Mach is the microkernel upon which a GNU Hurd system is based. It provides an Inter Process Communication (IPC) mechanism which the Hurd uses to define interfaces for implementing in a distributed multi-server fashion the services a traditional operating system kernel provides. Mach is particularly well-suited for SMP and network cluster techniques. Thread support is provided at the kernel level, and the kernel itself takes advantage of that. Network transparency at the IPC level makes resources of the system available across machine boundaries.

config2xml is a shell script that creates an XML
document that describes the system information for
Linux, Solaris, AIX, HPUX, IRIX, and *BSD. XSLT is
used to transform XML into HTML, TeX, PDF, man,
and plain text.

libneuro implements a simple codec for a single
stream signal data in the Neuro format, a PCM data
format for 1+ dimensional signals. The signal
stream is serialized as an Ogg bit stream for
transport. It is currently the only codec that is
designed to work with libalinga.

Pole Display Control Program is a simple program that was
designed to control a PD6000 pole display (and other pole
displays that connect to a serial port) for cash registers and
other applications.

GNU fdisk provides libparted-based alternatives to
classic partitioning tools like util-linux fdisk
and cfdisk.

libogg++java is a Java native interface to
libogg++. It provides C++ and Java wrappers, as
well as Java classes. It also provides control
files to generate them from the libogg++ interface
using SWIG. The major and minor versions of this
JNI will track that of libogg++, but its bugfixes
are independent of libogg++ bugfixes.

GTKstereograph is a GTK interface to stereograph, a stereogram generator. This package includes the current renderer but does not yet support all features (i.e. transparency).

Hogwash is a layer 2 packet scrubber based on the snort signature engine. Hogwash sits in line, and drops packets based on signature matches. The rule set will be familiar to anyone that has used snort before. Hogwash supports passive host identification and adaptive rule sets for added accuracy.

Remote SNMP Powerswitch Control is a script that
uses SNMP to control an APC PowerSwitch power
controller. It allows you to cycle any port via
the command line. This is useful for automatically
rebooting machines that stop responding to pings,
for example.

Ametys CMS is a Content Management System which combines rich content with an easy-to-use and intuitive interface. It makes content publishing accessible for the non-programmer and provides an easy editorial interface very close to Microsoft Office applications.

Preview is a simple image viewer for GNUstep. It
is designed to be easy to use and support GNUstep
features such as image design,
pasteboard/services, printing, and layout.

ImageZen is a GUI frontend for ImageMagick. It performs most common image manipulation tasks supported by ImageMagick with a pleasant interface. It also allows you to perform batch operations and includes the viewer mirage.

Gettext Translator is an editor for *.po files,
which are used by gettext. It includes a
spellchecker and plural forms support.

PHP Mobile Mail is aimed at mobile professionals
who want to use their favorite MUAs (noteably pine
or mutt) on their laptop, either in UNIX or Windows
(under GNU Gygwin). This lets you work offline. It
includes a mail_spooler program, which accepts the
output of you MUA and spools (on, or offline).
When connected, another process parses through
the spool and sends your messages. It is also
designed to "fake" using your REAL email address
with free services like gmx.net, or mail.yahoo.com,
when using their POP and SMTP servers, assuming
you have a domain and account that you can
control to this degree.
